Ritualistic Living - Carbon and Earth

Ritualistic Living

Most of us live in a ritualistic rhythm. We wake, perform self care, drink our water, walk our walks, perform tasks, and rest more timely than we may realize. Within these structured we call our lives, we find comfort in knowing what will come next. There is a safety in the expected, leaving a slim possibility of the unexpected to come next. To live a balanced life, it's important to find the safety within the unexpected moments that come up in our lives. There are storms, traffic, sickness, pregnancies, and death that can snap us right out of the entrenched groove we travel along. There is an incredible value to being limber, agile, and to have the capacity to be at ease with the flow of circumstances. The grasp can be so tight, and the box of safety we put ourselves in can feel like the expiring shell of a crustacean.

With this said, we can find and curate within these rituals with intention. We can incorporate intention and joy into these everyday tasks. Think - brushing our teeth, traveling to work, lying in bed waiting to drift off to sleep. At the end of the day we hold the power to shape the health of our personal precious time here

How can you uplift your day to day tasks and incorporate joy in these rhythms?
